Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg

The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) is an integrated school with a bilingual educational programme: it offers both the National Senior Certificate (Matric), the South African exit exam, and the German International Abitur. Established in 1890, it is one of the oldest schools in Johannesburg and currently enrolls approximately 1100 learners from over 35 different nationalities.

In 2011 the school was awarded the title ‘Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule’ (Excellent German School Abroad) and in 2016 it has won ‘Der Deutsche Schulpreis’ (The Best German School Prize).
